Oral abstract submission closes on the 30th of September 2020.
Poster abstract submission closes on the 14th of October 2020.
Whova is a virtual conference platform that can be accessed through a web or mobile app. The web app has been optimised for google chrome. The mobile app can be downloaded through the app store and is available on Android, Apple and Blackberry/Windows devices.
Features of Whova:
⦁ Agenda – Access all virtual sessions in the agenda by clicking the session title and connecting to the live stream or recorded videos
⦁ Community Board – schedule virtual meetups, add a discussion topic, network with attendees
⦁ Informal Q&A – Use that chat feature within individual talks and posters to ask presenters questions
⦁ Enter the email address used for event registration
⦁ Create password and type in your name
⦁ Edit your profile: Other attendees will be able to see this and network with you. This can be edited later by clicking on your profile image at the top left corner of the event page.
⦁ Access to the home page of the 2020 EAPS Postgraduate Symposium should occur automatically. However, if this doesn’t occur, search for it. Select the event and click the join button at the bottom of the event description page, and enter the event invitation code the organizers sent you.
Questions can be submitted via the chat window in Zoom or Whova during and after talks or poster presentations. Further guidelines can be found in this Whova tutorial.
o Yes, we offer two financial assistance grants for EAPS2020 attendees – the registration grant and the accessibility grant.
o The registration grant will cover the full cost of registration to the event (up to $30 AUD). If applying for a registration grant, please explain in your abstract submission form how it would benefit you and any other considerations the committee should know. Registration grants will be reimbursements of the registration costs. Please note that reimbursements will require original invoices or receipts. (maximum: 2000 characters)
o The accessibility grant will assist with the cost of participation in the meeting, including food, childcare/elderly/disability/carer care, Wi-Fi or internet connection fees, or hardware/software and auxiliary aids and services for individuals with hearing or vision disability. If applying for an accessibility grant, please explain in your abstract submission form how it would benefit you and any other considerations the committee should know. Please list an estimated amount you would require. Accessibility grants will be made of up to $50 AUD for reimbursements of these costs. Please note that reimbursements will require original invoices or receipts. (maximum: 2000 characters)”
